L'ora in cui non sapevamo niente l’uno dell’altro

Un progetto ispirato all’omonima opera di Peter Handke, Premio Nobel per la Letteratura 2019. Racconta la fugacità dell’incontro con l’altro. Cosa ci resta nella memoria di qualcuno solo di passaggio nella nostra vita? Un ricordo sfocato, un corpo che mantiene solo la sua idea di corpo e che diventa macchia indistinta del paesaggio. Peter Handke conduce il suo gioco scenico descrivendo, attraverso una lunga didascalia-racconto, i dettagli delle persone che attraversano lo spazio di una piazza e scompaiono dietro l’angolo subito dopo. Nient’altro. Ho immaginato di fare lo stesso, sulla costa di Carcavelos, in Portogallo, paese in cui ho vissuto per due anni.
The time when we knew nothing of each other

A project inspired by the homonymous work by Peter Handke, Nobel Prize for Literature 2019. It tells of the fleetingness of the encounter with the other. What remains in the memory of someone just passing through our life? A blurred memory, a body that keeps only its idea of the body and that becomes an indistinct stain of the landscape. Peter Handke conducts his scenic game by describing, through a long caption-story, the details of the people who cross the space of a square and disappear immediately after the corner. Nothing else. I imagined doing the same, on the coast of Carcavelos, in Portugal, where I lived for two years.
